BEIM ADMITS BAERLOCHER (M) SDN BHD AS CORPORATE MEMBER OF THE INSTITUTE

The Business Ethics Institute of Malaysia (BEIM) admitted Baerlocher (M) Sdn Bhd as a Corporate Member of the Institute. BEIM’s Chairman, Mr. E. H. Ong presented the Certificate of Membership to the Managing Director of Baerlocher (M) Sdn Bhd, Mr. Sethu Palaniappan at the latter’s Official Launch of its plant expansion and new office building by the Minister of International Trade and Industry, Malaysia in Seremban today.

Founded in 1997, BEIM is an independent non-profit organization that was formed with the sole purpose of driving greater business ethics in the national business agenda. It engages with various organizations and has done substantial work in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNKK) in efforts to drive and be actively involved in the government’s commitment to support the harnessing, sustaining and growth of business ethics in the country.

In presenting the Certificate of Membership, E. H. Ong expressed support for Baerlocher (M) Sdn Bhd which has won several local and foreign awards and ISO certifications for compliance, standards and achievement as a responsible manufacturer.

“BEIM is proud to admit organizations like Baerlocher (M) Sdn Bhd as Corporate Members of the Institute who continuously demonstrate high standards of care for employees and the environment as well as in the conduct of business,” said Ong.

“In welcoming Bearlocher (M) Sdn Bhd, we take this opportunity to register BEIM’s Board and Council of Management’s congratulations on the occasion of their 25th anniversary of business presence in Malaysia.

“BEIM will certainly count on them to participate in our activities and services that will add value to our efforts to help galvanize the Malaysian business arena into raising their awareness and standards of best practice business ethics.
