One Petal Beim Award

This is awarded to companies as they become Members of BEIM. This is a recognition of their first step and commitment towards the cause of Business Ethics in Malaysia. Upon becoming a Member a Certification to this effect will be forwarded to the Organisation or Business Enterprise concerned

Two Petal Beim Award

This is awarded to companies who formulate their own ‘Code of Ethics’ and have this in place and the same is acknowledged by all the several shareholders of the Business organisation. Upon receipt of the Code of Ethics of the Organisation or Business Enterprise concerned a Certification to this effect will be sent to the Member concerned.

Three Petal Beim Award

The appointment of such an official gives strength to the Code. He or she will ensure that all aspects of the Code are upheld. He/She will act as an Ethics Counsellor who mediates on feedback and issues arising from the implementation of the Code of Ethics. Regular reviews and updates would be involved. Upon receipt of the Ethics Officer’s name duties and responsibilities, a Certification to this effect will be forwarded to the Organisation or Business Enterprise concerned.

Four Petal Beim Award

This is given to companies conducting Business Ethics Training Programmes for their staff or regularly sending them for such programs, seminars and workshops. Upon receipt from the Ethics Officer of the Training Programmes and other educational events to which staff at all levels have been send a Certification to this effect will be forwarded to the Organisation or Business Enterprise concerned

Five Petal Beim Award

This is awarded to companies who undertake BEIM’s annual audit of their Business Ethics policies and processes which also includes activities in the first four areas mentioned above. On completing the above to the satisfaction of the Auditors, and upon their recommendation BEIM will ensure that the ‘Five Petal Gold BEIM Ethics Award’ will be given to such Members at an appropriate function. This will be done on an Annual basis.
